Gobble ’til You Wobble

I hope everybody is having a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.  To my World Friends I hope you have a great Holiday Season.

 

Today The Queen & I are having a peaceful day by ourselves.  At least, that’s the plan.  The Queen baked 3 pies yesterday (2 pumpkin, 1 apple) and bought ice cream and whipped up some cream for the pies.  This tells me we just may get visitors, but one can hope.

 

When I got up this morning I got a whiff of tonights dinner … I put on 3 lbs by the time I got dressed.

The Devil made me do it the first time,

The second time I did it on my own.

Lord put a handle on this simple headed man,

And help me leave that fat food alone.

 

I have been out trying to straighten up my studio, but each time I pick something up to put it away, I start playing with it and before I know it I have a new project going.  Oh well there’s always tomorrow to put stuff away.

 

Black Friday … that just sounds so forbidding.  I think I’ll pass on it.  It seems there will be a lot of great deals, but maybe I’ll just do some on-line “meandering”.  I started yesterday getting 2 for 1 refills for my Glue Glider.

 

Twas the Night of Thanksgiving

Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn’t sleep

I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned — the dark meat and white,

But I fought the temptation with all of my might.

 

Tossing and turning with anticipation,

The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door

And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

 

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,

Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,

Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

 

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky

With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees…….
